FABYKA RANGE HOODS…BEWARE!!

April 13, 2009 at 1:00 pm 10 comments

If I can save one person from dealing with Fabyka Range Hoods, then I’ve done my job.  I have just had the worst experience with this online vendor.  I ordered a range hood online and was given no correspondence in return from the company whatsoever.  No delivery time, no tracking number…nothing.  I filed a complaint with Paypal and it was only then that they responded.  I recieved the range hood 7 days later and it was completely destroyed.  I filed a claim with Fedex and they said the shipper would have to be party to the claim.  I have still heard nothing back and it’s been 2 weeks.  Their website is fancy enough, and they do have a number for customer support…..but you’ll never get a live person and will only be able to leave a message to which there will never be a response.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE….THEY ARE INCOMPETANT AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!

Seller did not deliver replacement parts (vent screens) for vent hood. Paid $46 8/9/10 by PayPal. Seller marked as shipped but did not have USPO pick up. Have sent numerous emails and phone calls to web site address. He said the order was on back order. He knows that Paypal does not return money after 45 days. The 10925 Beechnut Street Address Suite 240B is a post office box. The 832-208-9276 number is full of messages. I have two numbers for Hui Chai 281-530-1511 and 713-560-8222. His last email for money listed Sunflower Trading Inc.as his business. This person uses PayPal to his advantage, so that customer have no recourse.

Same experience here…trying to get in touch withe them for over a year, they never return calls or emails. Hood worked well for first two months but then broke and they don’t want to hear anything about it.

Same finding about numbers and addresses that are dead ends. I can’t find anybody at all who sells replacement parts for these range hoods, specifically FAD-36. Design has flaws: the electronic controller practically melted by the heat of the range.

Might take out the black box and see if I could find it a shop. Please email me back if you know anything more.

I am dealing with a Fabyka Wall Mount Range Hood (30″) FA Series. (FT Baffle Filter). After it was installed in late 2009 the thing started rattling and “customer service” was a joke. Now the same issue as stated above- the lights don’t work. They would randomly come on and off? I tried to email and those bounce and there is no voice mail. I am going to contact my credit card to see if I can start a claim for them selling defective merchandise. I have lived in my house less than 1 1/2 years…you would think for $500 this wouldv’e lasted a little longer! NOT happy with this hood!

My Fabyka FA-2936 has the same dead light problem. Replacing bulbs did not help. The company does not reply email and telephone not answered.

I’m trying to deal with him now for my sliding gate opener I bought from ebay. The main circuit board is malfunctioning and he does not respond via ebay messages. Your right, the 832-208-9276 is useless. No one ever picks up. I will be contacting ebay and attaching all these complaints so maybe I too, can make a difference.
